Will they ever improve in the last few games?

Assistant manager Mark Creighton spoke honestly after Harriers' 3-1 defeat at home to Eastleigh.

After taking the lead through an own goal, Harriers conceded three second-half goals from set-pieces in the space of 11 minutes to relinquish the points to the Spitfires.

Straight-talking Creighton feels his side's performances haven't been good enough for a while and has challenged his players to step up to the plate on Saturday against Dover Athletic.

“We’re really comfortable in the game and we get a little bit of luck first half that we’ve missed for a while, but we switch off for three set pieces and it’s not good enough," he said.

“I wasn’t a fantastic footballer but I kept clean sheets because I had the desire to stop the ball going in my net. We can’t coach desire, so if you haven’t got it burning in your stomach then, unfortunately, see you later.

Vanarama Result: HARRIERS 1-3 Eastleigh.

Preview: Harriers vs Dover AFC

Harriers preserved their unbeaten start to 2014/15 with a 1-0 win at Dover at the end of August, leaving themselves in 10th and their opponents, who won just one of their opening six fixtures, lingering in 18th.

Currently, Harriers remain in the same position, while Dover sit five points behind in 14th.

Having beaten AFC Telford United the week after losing to Harriers, a four-game losing streak ensued for the Whites, before they picked up their form and gained 10 points from their next six fixtures.

Their 1-0 defeat at Macclesfield Town in mid-October was, remarkably, to be their last in all competitions until the beginning of January 2015............
